Job description:
- Design and analysis of thermal control systems for space missions
- Conceptual design of thermal control systems for space missions including:
- Definition of thermal control concepts and hardware requirements
- Checking of feasibility, critical aspects and design margins
- Maintenance of thermal control system budgets
- Analysis of the Thermal Control System including:
- Establishing and maintenance of thermal models (GMM and TMM)
- Definition of critical mission environments
- Conduction of thermal analyses
- Definition and conduction of trade studies to support thermal design decisions
- Definition and derivation of thermal environments for subsystems
- Definition and modelling of thermal test environments
- Thermal Test predictions and post-processing, Thermal Model correlations
- Thermal technical reporting, Generation of input for technical specifications
- Presentation of the TCS design and analysis results in internal and external meetings
- Definition of thermal H/W components and coordination of thermal H/W suppliers
- Participation on thermal test campaigns
We require:
- Master’s Degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical eng. or comparable qualification
- Ideally 3-5 years of experience in aerospace business
- Working knowledge of the main European thermal analysis tools (ESATAN-TMS)
- Several years of experience of thermal design and analysis in aerospace industry
- Thermal H/W knowledge
- Considerable communication skills, high degree of flexibility and resilience
- Willingness to learn and take over additional responsibility and to execute trainings
- Entrepreneurial way of thinking with focus on quality and cost awareness
- Fluency in spoken and written English is a must, German is a plus,
- Strong team spirit
