Job description:
- Support space projects from the proposal phase until the launch campaign
- Analysis of structural subsystem requirements
- Evaluation of relevant structural concept trades
- Support for generation and maintenance of specifications for the structural subsystem
- Generation of structural analysis models including checks of the model quality
- Performance of static, dynamic, thermo-elastic, and acoustic noise structural analysis with strong emphasis on design change recommendations/optimizations
- Preparation of structural analysis documentation
- Establishment of input data for environmental test campaigns (vibration test, acoustic noise test etc.)
- Presentation of work results internally and to the customer
- Participation in technical reviews with our international partners such as the European Space Agency
- Support with the proposal’s preparation and evaluation
We require:
- Master’s Degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical eng. or comparable qualification
- Ideally 3-5 years of experience in aerospace business
- Professional experience in the field of structural analysis
- Experience in using "Finite Element" software for structural analysis (NASTRAN and HyperWorks)
- Considerable communication skills, high degree of flexibility and resilience
- Willingness to learn and take over additional responsibility and to execute trainings
- Entrepreneurial way of thinking with focus on quality and cost awareness
- Fluency in spoken and written English is a must, German is a plus
- Strong team spirit
