Situated in Brno, Czech Republic, OHB Czechspace has been since 2018 a member of the OHB SE European Space and Technology Group. With more than 40 years of experience in high technology, the OHB Group is ideally positioned as one of the leading independent forces in the European space, aeronautics, and telematics industry.

OHB’s more than 3,000 employees across Europe work on some of the most important aviation and space programmes of our times. The activities of the OHB Space Systems business unit encompass satellites, manned spaceflight, exploration, and security technologies. OHB develops, builds, launches, and operates low-orbiting and geostationary small satellites for scientific applications, terrestrial observation, navigation, communications, planetary defence, and space exploration.

OHB Czechspace is part of the OHB Space Systems business unit. OHB Czechspace has been awarded various contracts within European Space Agency (ESA) programmes. Among these are the planetary defence mission Hera, the PLATO space exploration mission, as well as the Copernicus Earth observation mission CO2M.

QUALITY is our top priority 

OHB Czechspace is preparing for the worldwide recognized ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification together with the organization DEKRA.

Our fully implemented process management is regularly monitored with the aim of identifying risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • The first stage of ISO 9001 certification already has been successfully achieved. 
  • During January 2022, the second stage of the certification audit will be carried out.

Our Services

OHB Czechspace offers to supply spacecraft structures, mechanical ground support equipment (MGSE), and other structural subsystems according to the customer’s specifications, including their development, design, verification, procurement, and assembly.

In addition, OHB Czechspace provides individual engineering services in the areas of structural analysis, mechanical design, and conducting mechanical tests.
