Research & Development Engineer (Space Industry)

The main activities of the Research & Development department are to identify promising Research & Development opportunities, to roadmap technology developments, to respond to open R&D calls, to coordinate technology developments across multiple technical domains and to execute R&D activities.

As Research & Development Engineer in this department, you will conduct multiple research and development activities in the space engineering domain.

Job description:

  • Support in identification of R&D opportunities in the space industry domain

  • Support in preparation of proposals as response to open R&D calls

  • Execution of wide span of technical activities within R&D projects including but not limited to: review of state-of-the art approaches, performance of trade-offs, design & analysis, breadboarding activities, technical report preparation

We require:

  • Technical expertise within a specific domain (e.g. mechanical / thermal / electrical / optical) with a solid background in other technical domains of aerospace engineering

  • Degree or demonstrated knowledge in space engineering

  • Solid understanding of Physics and background in state-of-the art technologies

  • Willingness to effectively grasp new knowledge and approaches

  • Independency and self-motivation

  • Considerable communication skills

  • Fluency in spoken and written English
